Our History
From a foundational regional Internet Service Provider during the 90s tech boom to a premier AI development facility today.
The Early Days
The Gateway to Orange County
Back during the mid-to-late 1990s and early 2000s tech boom, GVN was a notable regional Internet Service Provider (ISP) based right out of Brea, California.
During the early days of the World Wide Web, local governments didn't automatically have their own dedicated IT departments or webmasters. GVN stepped into that gap for Southern California. We became famous locally for hosting and designing the very first "unofficial" and official community websites for almost every city in Orange County. If you wanted to find information on Brea, Buena Park, or Fullerton in 1997, you went to URLs hosted by GVN.
Services Offered
Like many classic dot-com era ISPs, GVN started by providing the literal baseline infrastructure for locals to get online. Our legacy services included:
-
Dial-Up Internet: Delivering classic 56k modem speeds to residents in the local 714 and 562 area codes.
-
Web Hosting & Design: Building digital storefronts for small businesses in Brea, Yorba Linda, and surrounding areas.
-
Early Broadband: As technology shifted, we transitioned into offering commercial T1 lines and early DSL services.
Evolution
To the Frontier of Intelligence
As the internet matured, so did our expertise. Building the baseline infrastructure of the 90s web gave us the deep systems-level knowledge necessary to tackle mission-critical enterprise challenges, and eventually, artificial intelligence.
